my professor gave us a program to make, but didnt explain very much. i had so many errors! i finally got him to come help me, and he told me i was breaking a bunch of rules that he hadnt even gone over yet. i finally got the damn thing to run, but there were still errors somewhere, and i have no idea how to fix it before i go back to class. i have to turn in the .rpt file, but i cant get one until it runs without errors. i have only been to one class! how can i be expected to know what to do? i think i will change my major to computer science.....

Just remember...you have to take up to Calculus 4 for Computer Science...I am in Calculus 2 and let me tell you, it is by far the worst class ever!

May I lay this issue to rest. You only need to take up to Cal 2 for a computer science major. however, if you want a math minor, which is what i am doing, you must take up through cal 4. I am afraid my dear gnosis_within, that if you are struggling with cobol, computer science is not your forte. i must ask though. what the hell is a .rpt file? i have heard of everything from .c files to .ccp, .exe, .jpg, .bmp, etc etc etc. but never in all my years of computing have i ever heard of a .rpt file. i do realize that different compilers use differenent extension, so i must ask what compiler you use as well. i do not remember what i used, or i would be more than happy to provide that information. as for now, i must go. i will be more than happy to provide as much help with any computing question, simply ask.

glad you came by. i've missed ya.
i think that gnosis checked and only has to take up to cal. 1 for this major. and i also think that he doesn't have to claim a minor in that field. i dunno. UCA is weird like that.
well, i shant interfere any more. just wanted to say hi to gravy.

Hello Shatoushka, i must admit, i have kinda missed posting on one of your numerous boards. i have been in fear to post on the new and improved jizz nasty board. but i felt i could provide some helpful information to this thread. well, i must not hang around here at this moment any longer, for i am in class, and must pay attention.

I was a computer science major for about 2 years, before I decided it sucked 
so now once more i'm a freelancer.
YAY...
Now i'm back to Law I think or Psychology.
Perhaps communications, so many options, i'll be in school forever.
But whatever you choose to do, know your gonna have to really give to get there.

i will use the words of my professor to tell you what a .rpt file is.

he is russian, so the english isnt perfect.
i still cant get that piece of shit program to run correctly! it is just one part that is messing up, and i have no idea how to fix it.
